      Two of her three suggestions were to give directly to small businesses and then to food banks, which aren't really either of those things. But otherwise, I share some of your concerns.

          I’ve seen the data that suggest people would be too scared to go shopping w/o a shutdown, but they’re not even frightened enough down here in LA to NOT attend family gatherings/parties. Also, why not keep businesses open & subsidize them for downturn in sales?
