I’m genuinely interested in the counter argument to letting kids believe in Santa. My four year old asked me if bears AND mermaids are “real in this world?” yesterday...in the same sentence. This is a demographic that seeeems to be more than okay with a touch of ambiguity.

One of the central plot lines of the 1947 (!!!) Christmas Classic Miracle on 34th Street is that the woman teaches her daughter not to believe in Santa Clause. This is not a new generation thing. Now it’s just on WhatsApp.
