This new context of information being ephemeral and “unknowable” at its source makes it hard for me to fathom how archaeologists can just “know” what happened thousands of yrs ago just by looking at some old shit This is how we know history!
I’m holding out hope for a decentralized cryptographically asserted layer of truth that can help bind us to reality. The open question is whether anyone will opt to use it over data sources that merely reenforce their tribe.
