You can't honestly be ignorant of regulatory capture? The idea that local gov makes decisions in a vacuum—totally unaffected by tech—is absurd and hilarious.
I'd rather let you show your ass a little more. Explain which "actual, literal policy decisions made by the local government" you're talking about? Then explain why those decisions are the fault of voters and not the fault of those who have captured the regulators.
Your firm was founded in 2005 and for purposes of this discussion you have unlimited funding. What have you and your firm done to influence the "actual, literal policy decisions made by the local goverment"? Surely you're not suggesting you guys sat on your hands for 15 years?
