I have nothing to do with this story and didn’t know we were even doing one that said, this attempt at a front-run is mindblowing. theyve guaranteed readership for the coming story AND torched any semblance of trust or relationship they had mediahttps://blog.coinbase.com/upcoming-story-about-coinbase-2012afc25d27 …

man, we are living in different realities. coinbase didn’t do this despite risk of torching trust with the nyt, they did this bc they feel — based on stories published, and behavior on twitter — that the nyt is committed to destroying the tech industry. there’s no trust to torch.

Every VC and every founder thinks the "media" wants to “destroy" tech (Andreessen literally said this to me about one of my publications) but reality is they can't look inward enough to see their problems and they don't want anyone else pointing them out. It's the worst bubble.

most of us look inward — i myself critique tech almost every single week in my writing — we just don’t agree with you on what our problems are

you literally dog whistled me for criticizing how folks in SF demonize poor people. of course you don’t agree with what our problems are; you don’t operate and you don’t build. you sit comfortably in an ivory tower perpetuating the very issues I’ve had to face as a black founder.

i literally don’t even know who you are

and thank you for proving my point. you aren’t looking inward if you can’t even remember one of the times you’ve been callous towards others in just the last few months.

Replying to @Andrewmd5 @micsolana and
I criticized you and your instant reaction is to misconstrue my position to dunk on me. you’re probably one of the most toxic individuals in tech, and when you say “you don’t agree” with outside perspective, I say this sincerely, it’s because you benefit from the status quo.pic.twitter.com/JWWp8mfxps
