It’s not really fair to say San Francisco has “failed” to keep major companies in the city when clearly the supervisors’ goal has been to expel them. In this, technically speaking, a great success. https://twitter.com/eladgil/status/1330884451081932800 …

We need to elect new supervisors. People aren't sufficiently educated on these local races. If they were, common sense would prevail - even in SF. D4 (@D4GordonMar), D6(@MattHaneySF), D8(@RafaelMandelman) & D10(@shamannwalton) are up for re-election in 2 yrs. Lots of work 2 do

I give Matt Haney props, he gets things done as a supervisor and engages with constituents. At the very least we need people that accept that we need a wartime focus on our top issues (homelessness, public safety, and economic disaster).

To add more homes, he could spearhead taller zoning heights in D6 beyond plans put into place by his predecessors (e.g. Central SOMA plan), but he hasn't done that. Too focused on flashy ballot props to increase his name recognition in SF so he can run against Breed for Mayor.

E.g. Western SOMA plan (2013) only allows for max 65 ft heights (at the tallest). All of this should be 200-300 ft with robust affordable protections so that we build more mkt rate & affordable units.https://socketsite.com/archives/2013/03/western_soma_community_and_neighborhood_plan_nearing_ad.html …
