It’s not really fair to say San Francisco has “failed” to keep major companies in the city when clearly the supervisors’ goal has been to expel them. In this, technically speaking, a great success. https://twitter.com/eladgil/status/1330884451081932800 …

We need to elect new supervisors. People aren't sufficiently educated on these local races. If they were, common sense would prevail - even in SF. D4 (
@D4GordonMar), D6(@MattHaneySF), D8(@RafaelMandelman) & D10(@shamannwalton) are up for re-election in 2 yrs. Lots of work 2 do4 replies 2 retweets 26 likes -

First tweet gets the big point though - the board of supervisors is doing the job they’re elected to, and well. Re-electing means new people beholden to same maligned interests. Short of abolishing the current governance structure I doubt SF ever gets the saving changes it needs.

Perhaps consider being accountable to basic cause and effect, rather than generating headlines to help you climb the CA political ladder. The measure isn't on CEOs that live in SF. And that's what's said in response to every tax measure ever passed, unoriginal and untrue. This measure was endorsed by nearly every elected & group in SF, passed 66-34% It'll help us respond to health crisis in our city and streets.

more to follow. It looks to me like the direct cause of all these problems is poor governance. It appears that political action is based on some kind of philosophy that is untethered to reality, undaunted by the fact that intended results rarely occur...

it’s this, the absolute refusal to acknowledge results — and a refusal, therefore, to take responsibility... which is literally their job! — that drives me insane

They try to make taking responsibility not their job by hiding behind propositions so they can just claim that it was the will of the people
