I don't see why we need to ignore @micsolana , either.
I reduce my tax burdens based on the repairs, improvements, and maintenance I need to make to owned properties. The govt sees I need to spend money on something giving me income and says "okay we will take less", every year.

you're also penalizing people who never took out any loans whatsoever. people like mike just get penalized "more"
i haven’t worked this piece out tbh. agree all of this, including my prescriptions, would be unfair to people who didn’t go to college.

We can still reward their decisions to pursue trades, or even simply marry and stay married and have children. We may need to do these things extralegally/privately.

to me it has to be about defining who should shoulder the burden of the debt forgiveness. my own logic seems to point to the schools that received the monies, possibly with some level of burden falling to parents in some cases based on, age...? parent's income...?
