I don't see why we need to ignore @micsolana , either.
I reduce my tax burdens based on the repairs, improvements, and maintenance I need to make to owned properties. The govt sees I need to spend money on something giving me income and says "okay we will take less", every year.

thank you, i genuinely wish someone in government would pay attention to this. alas, the prescription doesn't cleanly map to any incendiary political positions so people tend to mind-hole the solution.
