Paulo Coelho is this way too. Advocates socialism but made over $250,000,000 on The Alchemist alone. But I love his work, read most of his books, and they are deeply moving and spiritually compelling. coehlo is a bit different imo in that the alchemist lays down a road map for material *as well as* spiritual riches. he might be a socialist off the page, but his most significant work doesn’t strike me as a lie.
