it's so rare my people get to lecture your people about how exponential growth works
no one is denying that cases are going up, the questions are 1) do people have a right to assume their own health risks and 2) what is an acceptable number of cases given the catastrophic impact this has had on our local economy. not everyone can work from home, jeff.

I am in full agreement with you that the government should be extending far more aid to people and businesses that lose income while following public health orders so no one has to make this terrible choice

That doesn't seem to be what your post implies. Over and over, there's been a 3-4 week lag between intervention and peak cases. You should be extrapolating the trend to decide whether this is sufficient reason for public concern, and not just scoffing at the low prevalence today.
