      To be fair, SF's population is probably more like 500k right now. Using the pre-Covid denominator seems inappropriate when everyone that could fled to their parents' places/Tahoe, etc.

      i don’t know about 500k, but i agree there’s likely been a significant decline. couldn’t find a reliable source.

          Either can I. It would be a nice stat to find though. I'd be interested in the same number for all major metropolitan areas in part because transmission rates don't make sense when the pop fluctuates & in part because economies can't recover on a fraction of their original pop.
