i think a victory in 22 is somewhat discounted by the cost, and the property tax stuff is just super nebulous, and maybe even slightly apolitical in the traditional sense given the state's peculiar history. shooting down rent control and prop 16 did surprise me though.

Does anybody really believe CA will have less homelessness, better schools, lower taxes, lower rents, less crime, etc in 5-10 years? I don’t. But aside from the taxes, it’s pretty easy to isolate yourself from all of that with money. You can even find Trumpist neighbors…pic.twitter.com/tKxJp1c8MO
