Not sure I agree. If Trump wins, I think we’ll see the Senate more open to stimulus and recovery spending. If it’s Biden, a re-run of the Obama years with standoffs over debt and spending

Maybe if it were in good faith and debt were a problem. The way Republicans don’t care about deficits when it’s their turn to cut taxes and run up debt, but then become pious deficit hawks when there’s a Democrat in the WH, is the opposite of that.
