I guess I still have a hard time understanding why 11 independent justices breaks democracy, like the number 9 is some fundamental truth discovered by democracy monks. But I’m glad it won’t be dealbreaker for you and agree it’s not likely to happen except as negotiation tactic.

Oh I’m fully in favor of taking control of the courts in this fashion and then closing the door behind them. It’s clear to me that nobody cares about fundamental apolitical judiciary and it’s just war and bad faith arguments at this point. I want my side to treat it the same way.
