Because I won't allow Halloween to be cancelled on my watch: what's the first horror movie you ever saw? Mine was technically SLEEPAWAY CAMP in 6th grade (but since I had already seen BEETLEJUICE, GHOSTBUSTERS, and other PG movies about Satan, I almost feel like it doesn't count)
hellraiser or nightmare on elm street when i was 6 or 7 (can’t remember which came first). both happened on my dad’s watch, who somehow didn’t realize my brain had not yet developed to the point where i was capable of handling that kind of shit.

I feel like constantly misunderstanding what a child's developing brain meats can handle is a real 80s/ 90s dad thing?? (There was a similar sitch with my uncle, my 5-year-old cousin, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 & 2)
