@foreverintruth@MarkTravis15 and@jenneraub I agree with all your recommendations with the exception of prop 15... Please elaborate on why you think prop 13 needs to be rolled back... Thanks for putting out this guide though!
prop 13 essentially created a landed gentry class in california that pays almost nothing in taxes, sometimes on property now worth millions, while new homeowners shoulder the entire state’s property tax burden. 13 disincentivizes both movement and building, and is just unfair.

Some of those "landed gentry" are just middle class homeowners across the state who bought a home when they could in the last several decades and want to continue living there. It's not like all of them are living in $10 million homes in SeaCliff they bought in 1978.

it is just very obviously not fair to anyone else living in the state. we can not have a different set of tax laws for people who’ve lived here longer.
