my tentative sense is we should not be real-time editing the dictionary, with an overtly partisan bias, to fuel a highly-public, ultimately fleeting political spat call me crazy

I think if you took a measure of proximity words that you’d at least have a baseline from which to work. I don’t know that’s the right way overall but I’d think you’d start seeing groupings or pairings that help indicate applied definition? Just a thought
