for years i thought my writing wouldn’t be taken seriously if i said what i believed. turns out... that is REALLY not how this works.

love it, thanks! was there a tipping point for you when you went from "no one will take me seriously if I'm authentic and honest" to "wtf am i doing, OF COURSE I should write what I believe, everything else be damned"

i think it happened gradually (and is probably still happening?). twitter came first, though, and connecting with interesting people here was definitely an important first step.
