Question: is there any evidence journalists are actually doing this? I follow the typical “left-leaning” sources: NYT, The Atlantic, etc and I’ve heard plenty about the Uighur genocide
i'm referring to the way tech journalists are covering tiktok. agree plenty of journalists have done great work covering the uighur genocide, and i've been broadly impressed with, for example, the nyt's china team.

Another honest question: does every piece of news that is adjacent to China in any way have to address the Uighur genocide? I agree that it’s one of, if not, the biggest human rights violations currently happening, but I think sometimes the connection is tenuous (as with tiktok)
