Empirically, yes But he still won't pull out of Afghanistan, or Syria and he's been absolutely complicit in the genocide in Yemen :( The bar has just been set low - ie. Bolton resigning because he wouldn't bomb Iran, Mattis resigning because he said he'd leave Syria

this is def the read. presidents for the last thirty years have been so belligerent we’ve all sort of normalized it, and it doesn’t take much to stand out here.

Assuming you're younger than 40 that's a pretty low bar. If reelected do you think he'll become more or less hawkish?

i don’t really think he believes in anything, so no idea. but for now at least this all feels pretty dove-ish.
