Was there a few years ago, construction on every corner (probably cooled off a bit now). Was really refreshing and inspiring to see.
decent amount of visible poverty in nashville, not a lot of homelessness. another thing i’ve noticed: construction.

The big visible difference in the midwest between the last recession and whatever we're calling this is that construction is continuing unabated. Regular mortgage demand is way up too, midsize markets are really frothy right now.
