I have some bad news for these people. He’s right. And during recessions employers add additional hiring criteria. This is called supply and demand

Came across this late, but agree, I mean it's clear that the point is about leaving jobs that are meant to have longevity past 18 months, not gig work, or contract work or moves within a company. Sure, you can have a bad run. Or you could be the bad run.
