Do the people who spent three years glued nightly to Maddow as she revved them up on Russia and Mueller ever think huh maybe we shouldn’t have wasted our lives?

I think they've tripled down on it. (As I've said before) I'd very much like to see an article steel-manning both points of view (as there are very smart people on each side), reconciling the huge gap, is it just pure politics/tribalism or somehow reasonable positions

You'd have a standoff on principle, because Trump and his people did so many things that in the old days would have led to a cycle of disgrace ---> deep unpopularity ---> action by Republicans to remove him. But the new partisanship short-circuited that.

It’s important to put “the Russia stuff” in perspective, but there was literally just a Senate committee report confirming much of what was alleged, so the idea it didn’t happen is seriously uninformed.
