don’t forget how undergrad has just become a weird waiting period for most professional degrees. Pre-med, and pre law are doing so little for folks who actually enter either professsion

Plus tons of fake non-professional Master’s Degrees from elite universities that are less rigorous than most high school classes but require undergrad to limit themselves to mid-career executives, because if we allowed teenagers to take them the scam would be revealed

It’s not just the “government” - plenty of professional careers don’t actually need degrees but companies still demand them. I don’t have a bachelors and I’m very lucky to have gotten as far as I have in my career despite there’s really no rational reason anyone *needs* one

Not true, in CA legal apprenticeship is a thing and you can become a lawyer the way Abraham Lincoln did.
