I think this argument only works if we invest a lot more in a public school system. American citizens shouldn’t have to go to college to gain access to high quality instruction in say, ethics

I remember these elections at my school—people would always promise free stuff. The funny part is that nobody voted for them because everyone knew it's a joke—the grown-ups wouldn't allow stupid shit like that. We really need some of those grown-ups in real politics these days.
