love when the politicians running california disable replies on their unhinged attacks against california citizenshttps://twitter.com/LorenaSGonzalez/status/1294118348712628226 …

It’s almost as if each California politician is trying to one up each other in how many companies they can scare off from California. It’s sad to see a great state so mismanaged. Instead of working to fix the homelessness issue in California, they’re passing these dumb laws.

If you “care” hard enough you’d probably be able to get away with anything

Also sad to see a public servant limit her replies to avoid backlash on her unpopular opinion. If Gonzalez were honest she'd explain why dozens of occupations get a pass on AB5. Don't all workers deserve rights? Why only ride hailing drivers?

it's strange to me she isn't curious why she *has to block replies FROM HER CONSTITUENTS in the first place*

Who's putting people out of work here? Uber and Lyft have the option of operating within the law. If people get put out of work, that's the companies' fault, not hers.

Nothing like a company and state using the workers they *claim* to care about as pawns in a political pissing match...during a pandemic (when said workers are struggling most)
