Same issue with the wealth tax. It’s absolutely true that it won’t hit most people; it is equally true that there is no limit to how far it might be extended in principle, and so people will factor that into their decisions about life here.

The second and third order social impacts will be felt for decades as well i.e. homelessness, increase in crime, many people leaving California, etc.

The only place where Lyft and Uber succeeded was at exiting for the founders and early investors. Neither company is viable. No entrepreneur should strive to build non viable businesses. Not defending CA, but their policies have nothing to do with their failure.
