It’s not that much of a head fake. Just realize that these are two sided marketplaces. Ad purchasers are consumers of FB ad platform. Any monopoly pricing power will show up there. Talking about app users as the only consumers is a scam.

Doesn't cloning competitors through the competitive intelligence gained using downstream micro vc funds essentially allow FB to kill opposition and competition in its early stages? How does less choice and innovation in markets not hurt consumers?
