Without changes to the current antitrust laws- the whole ecosystem will never be looked at. So tbh nothing material can atleast happen to Amazon who can claim to be acting in the consumers best interest

There is only one real Amazon tax and it won't be paid until his next divorce. When business produces externalities like (Amazon workers needing foodstamps) we can't endlessly socialise those consequences without looking at fairness and macro economic stability as an issue

Rs are already phoning it in. The big tech platforms will appoint a few more D insiders to boards, cough up more campaign contributions, and offer more preferred philanthropic gifts. Then it all goes away - there might a token enforcement, but nothing changes.
