what year would you want?
a dated, hard copy encyclopedia and dictionary in an analog home library that can't be edited now seem valuable to me in a way i never thought they would be five or ten years back

Great example of a scarcity and abundance dynamic. When most info is static, current, dynamic info was valuable. Now that most information is dynamic, immutable info and opinions are scarce and valuable. Permanence has gone from feature -> bug -> feature

These are everywhere: Abundant-> scarce (valuable): - farm to table food - in-person interaction - clear night skies Scarce -> abundant (cheap) - light - sugar - media - basic dev talent - product diversity People make a lot of $ moving something in either direction
