Won’t really be the NYT’s fault, they’re reporting on real events and the institutional interest in them. The NYT isn’t suggesting what the events are, people just read UFO as descriptive in the wrong way

I doubt they are wrong. But One of the many reasons to remain skeptical of the “extraterrestrial” take on this is that the findings could very well reveal that another nation has surpassed the US’s military technology. And that would be big, disconcerting news anyway.
