due to covid, california DMV appointments are booking up 3 months in advance, and lines — in the middle of our workday — are hours long. indefinitely suspending real ID regs, especially as they concern air travel, is a simple thing our gov could do to improve quality of life rn.

In North Carolina, we straight up moved the DMV to a town 60 miles away. Time will tell, but I think moving these agencies every 10 years or so may help prevent them from becoming so sclerotic.
