DMV in calif always had months long wait at least the one in SF
due to covid, california DMV appointments are booking up 3 months in advance, and lines — in the middle of our workday — are hours long. indefinitely suspending real ID regs, especially as they concern air travel, is a simple thing our gov could do to improve quality of life rn.

Even prior to covid, appointments were often over two months out anyway, because the system allows multiple appointments, and has no cancellation system. Then folks often just go spontaneously when they have time...
