My Dad has never met his youngest grandchild. I was too busy working to visit, then when I got laid off we couldn't travel because of the pandemic. Now the baby turns 1 in a few weeks and there's no safe way to connect and I'm just sad.
so sorry to hear this. my family's been dealing with something similar. my nephew learned to talk in the last six months, and really kind of came to life. my sister is pregnant with her second, and we won't be able to be with her for the birth. it's all so messed up.
