He also seems to acknowledge lots of disagreement among top physicists, and that there's a lot of speculation involved. Either way. The subject has fascinated me immensely for a while. Boltzmann was tortured by the second law he helped pioneer, and eventually killed himself.
totally, i don't think it's settled. the only issue i ever take is with the notion that it is.

Absolutely. Information theory has been one of the most interesting fields to me, especially relating to entropy and the emergence of life. Starting with Shannon's engineering breakthroughs and bits, onto the computer revolution, DNA code and ultimate use of it all.
