There are serious side effects to WFH culture: Neighborhoods are still highly segregated. Public transportation is a great social equalizer. Empathy is a muscle that needs exercised daily What else?

Yea, my eyesight is definitely worse. Is it just from being inside all the time? I was wondering that or maybe that my diet has changed (for the better) by cooking everything healthy at home.

Unrelated (mostly) but I went to a drugstore this month to get +1 and +2 reading glasses. When I wear them at the same time as contacts I can still see the computer just fine without less problems from using it for a long time.

I’m also going outside for extended times and using contacts that are ever so slightly weaker than the ones I would normally use. It’s surprising how normal this feels after a brief adaptation. And in some cases it seems like I can see better than I would have expected.
