what is even the law here? this is absolutely incoherent. is it 6 feet or 30? where did the latter number come from? who is enforcing this? and does the rule apply to the homeless population we are now forcing into close proximity in city-run encampments?pic.twitter.com/a4lbb8LPdS

I have a theory they specifically and intentionally do stuff like this with inconsistent or plain stupid information because they're attention wh*res and want more people to talk about it. then whoever designed the thing just passes off responsibility to their higher ups anyway

Maybe this means when you’re 30ft away and see someone approaching and you’re about to cross paths now is the time to mask up? So by the time you’re 6ft they’re on securely?

The 30' number came from here, https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2763852 … where 27' is the maximum recorded projection of a sneeze. They rounded that up to a solid 30' to be easier to remember. This study was in all likelihood conducted indoors in a perfect setting.

This is a minimum viable product. Startup peeps need to learn how to handle some ambiguity :P

Here are the full details: https://www.sfdph.org/dph/alerts/files/Order-No-C19-12b-RequiringFaceCoverings-05282020.pdf …. It's 30 feet while moving. The official rationale is if you see them from 30 feet away, you have time to mask up by the time you're within 6 feet. Still absurd in my opinion.

Thanks for May 28 link to source edict. I'm hunting Twitter Search for any evidence behind Breed's command, finding as little as last week. If you come across any, could you @me please? (She's driving the street Karens crazy, increasing their anxiety, hassling their neighbors...)
