my dad is an uber driver. invoking "human rights" violations on their behalf is degrading of the concept. it's a job that didn't even exist a few years ago, a majority like it, and over 70 percent want to remain contractors.

agree it's too hard to get health insurance, and imo it shouldn't be coupled with employment at all, but that's a different convo. AB5 is not designed to help workers, it's designed to hurt ridesharing. as evidenced by the fact that... it no longer impacts all contractors!
