This is something that’s interesting about the WFH conversation. Plenty making legitimate cases for it from a costs perspective, but for a staggering portion of the workforce their job *is* their socialization. Isolating employees = decreased happiness =\= cost savings.
i think outside of dystopian scenario, when you can meet friends, family, workout, date etc. this looks a lot different

Oh absolutely, but the WFH trend works directly against the “death of retail” headline. I personally see a Renaissance coming in brick & mortar. Company HQs emptying will mean those people will need to get their social needs met somewhere else.
