I mean heck if your crippling fees go towards building unnecessary facilities, it would kinda be nice to visit those facilities occasionally.
so mainly what i’m wondering is are we really about to sign a bunch of teenagers up for crippling, lifelong student loan debt in exchange for youtube videos and zoom chats

I definitely would be reconsidering it if I wasn't already on a scholarship and in the middle of getting a MA at same time as my BS. If I was a highschool senior right now and colleges weren't offering me full tuition, I'd be looking into alternatives & a gap year

How many employers will not grimace at the absence of a degree? How many will not delight in the presence of one from Harvard, MIT, Stanford, etc? These two factors drive many pursue degrees and assume the debt. If we change them we can unlock actual value for students.

If you’re in a position to hire, remove the bullet about a BA, BS, MA etc. Watch what happens.

Gonna be a hell of a claim to a bio or chem degree when you’ve never worked in a lab. Liberal arts and computer based engineering degrees won’t be affected at all though.
