i'm producing two podcasts on a laptop with a hundred dollar mic, descript, adobe audition, and soundcloud — no studio, no real budget, no help. but my interview quality sounds close to par with what i'm hearing out of "pro" shops with $$$. our tools have gotten REALLY GOOD.

There is a trick I learned from my producer who works at WYNC. You connect phone to a Zoom H5, and then mic into the other output. You’re then able to record the audio as two separate tracks. Solid audio quality & little friction on there end. Can share cheat sheet if interested
