Yeah but hurricanes and other issues elsewhere; pandemic is more like HIV where changes in behavior/protective measures can help reduce risk so makes sense to try
i'm not talking about a regular earthquake here. ppl in washington understand entire cities could vanish at any moment, but almost no one moves bc of it. yes, i'm sure we'll see more masks for a while (building codes), but we will not see the entire planet wfh (exit).

I doubt most people in Washington state actually understand this risk which supports the idea society forgets quickly. We will see large structural changes post COVID but it will be driven by politics and economic considerations, not public safety.
