Far fewer people could work from home
the overwhelming majority of americans aren't in tech, and absolutely cannot survive a life like this. they're grappling with the same questions people grappled with in 1918, and in many cases coming to the same conclusions.
I simply don’t think that’s actually true. There are tens of millions of Americans who don’t work in tech but can work from home. It’s certainly harder in a lot of industries, but it’s not impossible, or way more people would be unemployed now.
