to anyone who works in journalism & knows Buzzfeed's output, Balaji's "dunk" is like a journalist dunking on you for working at Founders Fund instead of Sequoia. the implication is he should prefer a job that carries more establishment cred. weird angle for VCs to take!

I read Ryan's tweet to say Balaji worked on meaningless stuff, which was an alley-oop, yes. Counsyl is legit. the idea you can't publish fluff and accountability journalism under the same brand is a legacy notion Buzzfeed disproved. your snobbery here upholds a dated standard.
