Assumptions are generally silly. For example the assumption that the virus escaped from a lab is equally silly.

Genetic tests so far confirm it is natural (as far as I know anyway) but it is not impossible for it to have been transferred to humans artificially. Again no (public) evidence for that yet so time will tell
