Unfortunately their job is to be decentralized and to have different opinions. This was hard to get right (I think) unless you are watching the right signals. Everyone I know was calling this wrong for months. I felt crazy. Maybe I know too many of the wrong people.
that so many of these people got it wrong would be easier to forgive were they not all now trying to blame their failure on people who either 1) had nothing to do with it, or 2) have done, and are currently doing, actually useful work
Indeed nobody wants to feel like the only person freaking out in a crowd. It required a persistence of belief that is hard when groupthink is taking over
