i trust incentives, and i don’t suspect they would leak something that made trump look even marginally better unless it was really bad. i’ve also got an (i think healthy) bias here, and don’t trust the CCP. but you’re right, can’t know for sure.

Agree China's numbers not true. BUT we're opening can of worms w/ this attitude: everyone will question everyone's else nos,we will never find out true mortality rate (&thus impact) of Covid19. Confident China numbers not true but not by crazy 10x margins people claim. Max 50%

Even if the death number ends up being 50,000 out of China then they still aced the response. We will be nowhere close to that number.. and have 1/4th the population and had a 3 month head start.

America should be held responsible mostly by our own people. China should be held responsible by the world. China's misinformation led to slower response and real deaths around the world.
