There's no cuts in the "I'm sorry, I couldn't hear your question, Yvonne", "Ok, let me repeat the question" "No, that's ok, let's move to another one then" sequence. There's no good reason they'd have footage of him giving answers like that without it really happening.

Another *major* problem with Twitter is the Verified badge. It misleads people to believing whatever these people post or retweet as some sort of "truth" - I've noticed several examples of this over the past couple weeks.

This is expected, the UN has not recognized Taiwan since 1971. Even in the Olympics, Taiwan has to call themselves "Chinese Taipei". Only the US recognizes Taiwan.

No, the US does not recognize Taiwan as a sovereign state. US policy here has been schizophrenic as on the one hand business with China has been lucrative for elites in both US parties and on the other the military complex needs a new enemy, and rising China has been obliging. +
