That’s not how she said it. Please consult a Mandarin speaker you know to confirm. Taking a step back, China is China. The question we should be asking is why are American leaders engaged in propaganda and racist/xenophobic disinformation campaigns. This is America, not China.

china is spreading propaganda *in* america, so it is absolutely relevant, and there is no equivalence between a few dumb comments from trump and a state-sponsored global propaganda campaign out of china including their media outlets and *their actual ambassadors*

I hear you. I too think the comments by Ambassador Cui were reckless. But no Americans are listening to him. Zero. His audience is in China. I just think all of this nonsense should stop and leaders should focus on the common enemy here, a virus
that lives to kill people.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Correction: Ambassador Cui didn’t make the statements himself but defended them when called by the State Department. Statements were made by Lin Songtian (China’s Ambassador to South Africa) and Lin Songtian (China's Foreign Ministry spokesman). Wasn’t targeting Americans.

i didn’t say it was the US ambassador, you did, and the comments were made on twitter in english, as have been most of the comments / posts from their state media channels. they’re absolutely targeting americans. insane to be having this conversation.
